Parliament opens its 2026 session: the agenda that will shape the year

The long corridors of the assembly were alive again this week as members filed in for the opening of the 2026 session.

At the top of the agenda: a national infrastructure bill, a review of the education framework, and a series of public-works pledges designed to reach every district before the end of the year.
